Considering Garmsar Special Economic Zone as a dry port, railway is of the necessities in order to operate in that area.
Accordingly, "Engineering Services for Connecting Garmsar Special Economic Zone to the National Railway" was awarded to Monenco Iran by Garmsar Special Economic Zone. In this project, a branch road from Tehran-Mashhad railway in Garmsar station toward Garmsar Special Economic Zone with a length of 271.4 km, the building of the station and loading platform with a length of 720 meters have been designed by Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers.
