Monenco Iran signed a contract for "Consultancy, Engineering and Supervision services for Construction of West Karun Power Plant and Auxiliary Installations" with Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC).
Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) intended to sign a contract to purchase 500 MW electricity with the investor company (Mapna Group) with the method of “Construction, Ownership, Operation” in order to supply electricity to its oil field development projects in West Karun including North and South Azadegan, North and South Yaran, Yadavaran, NGL 3200 Gas and Liquefied Gas Plant, West Karun Pump House. Accordingly, construction of 5 substations and transmission lines in the western region of Karun to transfer electricity to the oil fields in that area and construction of gas and water transmission lines to provide fuel for the power plant has been taken into consideration.
