Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers has recently signed a contract of “Design and Supervision Services for Vakil-e-Roaya Metro Station (line 1) of Shiraz” with Rail Transportation Organization of Shiraz Municipality.
The Inauguration of Vakil-e-Roaya Metro Station of Shiraz (Line 1)
Vakil-e-Roaya metro station is located in zand Barik Street, next to vakil bazaar of Shiraz. With the opening of this station, all the stations of line 1 of Shiraz metro were put into operation.
Vakil-e-Roaya station has been built underground with an area of 15,000 square meters.
The design and construction of Vakil-e-Roaya station, due to existence of poor soil and underground water, can be mentioned as an engineering masterpiece in the country.
This station has been constructed through the underground method without disturbing the urban traffic, which has been carried out by the experts of Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers.Due to the narrowness of Zand Street, construction of the station was banned by the Islamic Council of Shiraz Metropolis, but with providing reliable implementation and design methods by the experts of Monenco it was put back on the agenda for Shiraz Municipality Rail Transportation Organization. As the result the design and supervision services of Vakil-e-Roaya station (line 1) was awarded to Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers.It is worth mentioning that because of the proximity of Vakil-e-Roaya station to Vakil Bazaar, this station is designed as a cultural complex with interior architecture inspired by Zand Era and the galleries of this station will be used for various cultural and artistic occasions.
