Scope of work:

Engineering and structural design services, EBOP, MBOP, CPP and main cooling system of LATAKIA combined cycle power plant

 

Description:

A MoU for constructing a power plant in the Syrian city of Latakia was signed between the Syrian public authority for electricity generation and MAPNA Group. The combined-cycle power plant is set to produce 540 megawatts of electricity.
The project was finalized in October 2018 and launched in 2019. The first gas unit of the power plant in Latakia is expected to be completed in 18 months and the second one will be built in 24 months. Also, another unit that will be steam unit is expected to be finished in 34 months. The gas required for the power plant operation will be supplied via a 70-kilometer pipeline from Syrian sources. The pipeline has a capacity of 2 million cubic meters.
In this project, Monenco Iran is responsible for engineering and structural design services, EBOP, MBOP, CPP, and the main cooling system of Latakia combined cycle power plant.
