• Energy and gas policy
• Business environment
Determination of 2 countries among the above-mentioned 5 ones taking below criteria into consideration:
• Political stability and legislation
• Economic pattern
• Natural gas transmission and distribution situation (current and planned)
Detailed analysis of the remaining options including:
• Detailed modeling of energy and gas demand
• Detailed description of natural gas supply, demand, transmission, distribution, LNG and storage, etc.
• Further analysis of political, economical and legal framework
Details:
"Global Opportunity Screening" project is defined by GDF SUEZ in order to find the best option among the countries which is suitable for investment in natural gas infrastructures. Poyry (France office) is the main consultant of the project and Monenco Iran with valuable experiences in the field of power, oil, gas and energy is Poyry's sub-consultant in Middle East region. This project is categorized into two phases and phase 1 itself has two parts. 5 and 2 countries among all Middle East countries are chosen at the end of phases 1a and 1b respectively. Phase 2 is dedicated to detailed analysis of the two final countries.
