Signing the Contract of "Consultancy and Site Supervision Services for Construction of five High Voltage Substations (IDB’s Five Transmission Substations)"


 Monenco Iran has recently signed a contract of "Consultancy and Site Supervision Services for Construction of five High Voltage Substations (IDB’s Five Transmission Substations)". The client is Esfahan Regional Electric Company.

Due to growth of energy consumption in Esfahan and Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari Provinces and in order to meet the projected demand and develop & optimize the power transmission and distribution system in the area, Esfahan Regional Electric Company intends to construct five new transmission substations in different locations in the mentioned provinces (Hosnije, Harand, Faradonbeh, Semirom, Lenjan (through a joint financing of Islamic Development Bank (IDB).

In general, the benefits of this project are as outlined below:

  • To overcome the lack of capacity in 400 kV substations in order to supply the consumers demand (Hosnije, harand, faradonbeh, Semirom, Lenjan (
  • To overcome the increasing of electricity demand by newly built industrial units
  • To supply the 140 MW energy demand for Foolad Chaharmahal factory as a new consumer
  • Construction of 400 kV back-up substations to feed Chaharmahal & Bakhtiary Province.
  • To overcome the voltage drop due to high length of 63 kV transmission lines
