Monenco Iran recently signed a contract of "Technical and Economic Feasibility Study of Retrofitting Excitation Systems of Abadan Refinery Power Plant". The client is Abadan Oil Refinery Company. One of the most difficult problems encountering the operation of old generation units in Abadan refinery power plant is the supply of outdated auxiliary equipment. Lack of spare parts causes downtime to the unit resulting in considerable financial losses. On the other hand, the power grid of this refinery is to be connected to national grid in order to increase the reliability of the power generation system.
