Official Visit of the Honorable Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers

On February 4, 2025, Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers proudly hosted Mr. Jonah Maina Mongi, the Honorable Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya in Tehran, along with his accompanying delegation. This meeting, attended by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Kenyan Embassy, the esteemed CEO of Monenco Iran, senior vice presidents, and technical managers, marks a milestone in the company’s path toward expanding international cooperation with the East African region.

At the beginning of the session, Dr. Gholichi, CEO of the company, warmly welcomed the guests and presented a comprehensive report on the company’s background, capabilities, and both domestic and international projects. He specifically highlighted Monenco Iran’s successful experience in implementing infrastructure projects in Kenya and other African countries, many of which have been carried out with the support and financing of institutions such as the World Bank.

The Honorable Ambassador of Kenya, while expressing deep satisfaction with the technical and organizational standards of Monenco Iran, emphasized that Kenya is ready to facilitate broad cooperation with capable Iranian companies, especially in areas such as energy, transportation, urban infrastructure, and advanced technologies.

The distinguished vice presidents for business development, infrastructure, and ICT also presented their perspectives and practical suggestions, stressing Monenco Iran’s full readiness to enter a new generation of infrastructure, digital, and energy projects in Kenya and neighboring countries such as Tanzania, Uganda, and Ethiopia. They also highlighted the necessity of designing executive mechanisms for establishing local offices, training local workforce, and localizing technical knowledge in the region.

In conclusion, Mr. Mongi, the Honorable Ambassador, welcomed the proposed initiatives, declared the full support of the Kenyan Embassy for the development of relations with Monenco Iran, and called for the organization of technical meetings, exhibitions, and the official introduction of Monenco Iran’s capabilities to both the public and private sectors of his country. He further emphasized that this level of interaction can play a significant role in mutual development and in elevating the economic relations between the two countries.
