Monenco Iran has recently signed a contract of “Comprehensive Investment Plans for Economically Feasible and Practicable Projects in the Field of Energy Efficiency, Export Development, and Demand Side Management in Iran”. The client is Department of Investment Projects- MAPNA Group.
Considering the imbalance of electricity supply and demand in recent years due to the lack of generation expansion plans and increase in electricity consumption, a huge investment should be made to construct a number of power plants, which will require several years of time in addition to the high investment cost in order to respond to the electricity demand in the peak-load condition of the network, in case of lack of proper implementation of demand side management and energy efficiency policies. In this project comprehensive technical and economic studies will be conducted regarding increasing energy efficiency, export development, and demand side management in the three sectors of electricity generation, transmission, and distribution based on the existing conditions in the country. Executive and practical solutions in these fields in the form of economically feasible projects will be proposed to MAPNA Group considering the potential of Monenco Iran.
