Signing the Contract of “Feasibility Study for Converting Wet Cooling Towers of Esfahan Steel Company Power Plant to Dry Type”

Monenco Iran has recently signed the contract of “Feasibility Study of conversion Wet Cooling Towers of Esfahan Steel Company Power Plant to the Dry Type”. The client is Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO).

Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) uses two old steam units (1*60 MW ST+1*55 MW ST) and two new steam units (2*55 MW ST) with wet cooling towers. Considering challenges of water supply in recent years and necessity of optimization of water consumption, this project has been defined for feasibility study for converting wet cooling towers to dry type. A number of scenarios would be defined and their design parameters would be determined. Optimum scenarios would be selected by assessment of performance during annual period and also financial modeling. Finally, conceptual engineering documents for selected scenarios would be presented.
