1352 (1973) - Establishment of Monenco Consulting Engineers Iran
Monenco Consulting Engineers Iran was established in 1973 in a joint effort of Montreal Engineering Company (Monenco Agra) of Canada and a private sector of Iran, initially beginning its activities by focusing on the Iranian electricity industry.
1359 (1980)- After the Islamic Republic Revolution; cooperation with Monenco
Agra Company (the foreign shareholder) was stopped, but resumed its operations under the name of Qods Niroo Company.
1370 (1991) - In this year, Monenco Iran reinitiated its operations again with a partnership between the Iranian government and Monenco Agra of Canada.
1378 (1999) - In the late 1990’s, MAPNA Group, one of the largest contracting
companies and the main manufacturer of thermal power plants in Iran, acquired the majority of Monenco Iran Company’s shares by purchasing the shares of the Iranian government and AMEC Company (the shareholder at that time), one of the largest contracting and engineering companies in the energy sector in the UK, who had purchased the shares of Monenco Agra, and since then, this consulting engineers company have been the engineering arm of MAPNA Group.
1380 (2001) - MAPNA Group and AMEC Company, Shareholders of Monenco Iran
Since the early 2000, MAPNA Group, AMEC and Mir Investment (owned by employees) have been the main shareholders of these consulting engineers. During this period, Monenco Iran's fields of activity have expanded and, in addition to the electricity industry, it has provided engineering and consulting services in other fields such as electric railways, telecommunications and dispatching, etc., both inside and outside the country.
1385 (2006) - the Oil and Gas Sector
Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers succeeded in developing its services in the oil and gas sector.
1386 (2007) - Expanding Monenco Iran's activities abroad
By being awarded a project to provide engineering services and power plant supervision in Syria, these consulting engineers succeeded in developing their activities outside Iran.
1387 (2008)- Entering the field of system and energy studies
These consulting engineers succeeded in developing their activities in the field of system and energy studies with the aim of conducting system studies in the fields of power generation, transmission and distribution, as well as railways.
1389 (2010) - Establishment of Monenco Oman Company
Monenco Consulting Engineers Iran succeeded in registering Monenco Oman Company (MCE) in Oman in order to focus on the target markets in the Middle East.
1390 (2011) - Registering Monenco Nigeria Company
Based on the IMI-100 ranking, Monenco Consulting Engineers Iran was ranked as the only consulting engineer among the top 400 Iranian companies. In this year, the company also succeeded in registering Monenco Nigeria Company Monenco Engineering Limited (MEL) in Nigeria to access the Central African market.
1391 (2012) - Monenco Iran's presence abroad and entering the field of renewable energies
Based on the ENR ranking, these consulting engineers was ranked as the 144th among the top 200 engineering companies in the world, and succeeded further in entering the oil and gas field of Bangladesh.
In the same year, Company entered in the field of renewable energies by winning two projects: the Kahak wind power plant with a capacity of 50 MW and the Yazd solar farm (48 MW thermal).
1392 (2013) – Further expansion of Monenco Iran's activities in new areas
In this year, Monenco group expanded its activities in the areas of water and gas transmission lines, petrochemical and rail industries, including urban metro stations, tunnels, railways and subways.
1393 (2014) - Expansion of Monenco Iran's activities in domestic markets
This year, Monenco Iran promoted its engineering and consulting services in the foreign market by entering the field of water distribution in Oman, and fields of fixed and wireless telecommunications networks, water and wastewater telemetry and petrochemical comprehensive plans consulting and engineering services in the domestic market.
1394 (2015) - New target markets
These consulting engineers penetraterd into the fields of power plant efficiency, market analysis and management and investment consulting in the domestic market, and provided the engineering consulting services in Uganda, Kenya, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia in the foreign market.
1395 (2016) - Establishment of Monenco Company Germany
In 2016, with the aim of accessing the European market and strengthening cooperation with European partners, these consulting engineers signed a memorandum of understanding to establish strategic cooperation with reputable international companies and registered Monenco Germany in Germany. Moreover, based on the IMI-100 ranking, it was once again among the top 400 Iranian companies.
1396 (2017) - International electricity tariff market
Relying on its technical knowledge and using past experiences in the field of tariff setting in the electricity industry, Monenco Group succeeded in entering the tariff setting market in African countries in 2017 as the first international project of these consulting engineers in Kenya in the field of tariff setting in the international electricity industry, which was carried out with the financial support of the World Bank.
1398 (2019) - Smart city and e-health
In 2019, The Company, in cooperation and partnership with domestic and international consulting companies in the field of smart city and information and communication technology, started the activities the Smart City and Electronic Health Areas.
1399 (2020) - Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan Branches
With the goal of developing its activities in Central Asia, Monenco Group Company registered its branches in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in 1399.
1400 (2021) - Kenya Branch
In 1400, Monenco Iran Company established a branch in Kenya with the aim of promoting its activities in East Africa.
1401 (2021) - Presence in the Pakistani market
This consulting engineers group successfully developed their engineering consulting services in Pakistan
1402 (2023) - Cameroon and Ethiopia Branches
By bing awarded a large 400 kV transmission line and high-voltage substation project in Cameroon, Monenco Iran established a branch in this country, and in the same year, by winning two simultaneous projects in electricity distribution, financed by the World Bank, it also registered its project office in Ethiopia.
1402 (2023) - Data mining, data analysis and artificial intelligence
This consulting engineering company entered the field of artificial intelligence and data analysis in 1402 as a leading company in applying new technologies and succeeded in winning few projects by focusing on solving industry problems in operational areas.
