Synchronization of the First Gas Unit of Qeshm Combined Cycle Power Plant

The first gas unit of Qeshm Combined Cycle Power Plant was synchronized with the national electricity grid on September 13, 2020. This project is under construction in 18 km west of Dargahan city on Qeshm Island. The project area includes two V94.2 gas turbine power plants with a capacity of 160 MW and a 160 MW steam unit, two HRSG boilers, a Once-Through cooling system, two units of MED type desalination plant, and 230 kV substation.  Qeshm Combined Cycle Power Plant plays an important role in providing sustainable electricity needed by the industrial, commercial, and domestic sectors of Qeshm Island. In this project, the design of all construction works, design of electrical and mechanical BOP systems, design of wastewater treatment plant, chlorination, and condensate water treatment unit along with the main one-pass cooling system has been awarded to Monenco consulting engineers.
