The First Steam Unit of Asaluyeh Power Plant was Synchronized

The first steam-powered unit of Asaluyeh Power Plant was synchronized to the grid on 22nd of March, 2020, on the third day of the spring.

Asaluyeh Power Plant is located in Bushehr Province in Iran.

Development of the power plant's steam cycle will eventually add 480 MWs to its power generation capacity.
The newly synchronized steam unit has a nominal capacity of 160 MWs.
The scope of the project includes installation of three E-type steam turbines and generators with a nominal capacity of 160 MWs, six HRSGs, ACC cooling system, BOP (balance of plant) and generator station. In this project, Monenco Iran was responsible to render engineering and design services for civil, BOP, water treatment, condensate water purification unit and ACC cooling system.
