Monenco Iran has recently signed a contract of "Consultancy Services and Detail Design for Construction of Extension of 400kV Switchgear at Arg-e-Bam 400/132 kV Power Substation". The client is Kerman Regional Electric Company (KREC).

Due to electricity demand increase in Kerman and Sistan & Baloochestan Provinces, there is a need to extend the 400 kV substations in these provinces. One of the most important substations in Kerman Regional Electricity Company (KREC) territory is 400/132 kV Arg-e-Bam Power Substation due to its importance role in reinforcing the power grid and supplying power to other sub-transmission substations in South East of Iran. Therefore, KREC decided to construct and extend the non-completed 1.5 breaker scheme of 400kV Switchyard in order to connect the Arg-e-Bam substation to Sistan & Baluchistan Province via Zahedan 400kV power overhead line. Accordingly, the project was awarded to Monenco Iran to render consultancy services and detail design of the project.
