Hormozgan Regional Electric Company (HREC) intended to construct Qeshm-Sistan 63kV double circuit transmission line in order to supply electricity to Shahrak Sistan Substation of Gheshm Island. The main purpose of this project is to improve the internal network and supply electricity to Gheshm Island due to increased demand. Accordingly, engineering and supervision services of this project was awarded to Monenco Iran.
On September 19th the substation and transmission line was electrified with the presence of Managing Director of Hormozgan Regional Electric Company, Hormozgan Governor and Managing Director of Qeshm Free Zone.
