"Digital Week" event was held for the first time in Iran during the national digital week, at Tehran, Milad Tower, from December 8th to 12th in the form of technical seminars and meetings focusing on three topics including digital evolution in the telecommunication industry of Iran, intelligence and new technologies such as Iot & Blockchain and partnering methods of startup companies with well-known companies.
In general, Internet of Thing (IoT), cloud computing, social media, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain were the main theme of the event. Also, agriculture, smart city, energy, insurance, smart police and aerospace industry were the fields covered during this event.
In this event, Siamak Hossein Khalaj, Dispatching and Information & Communications Technology Director of Monenco Iran, presented "Digital Evolution in Energy Industry" at the "Smart Solutions for Energy Saving" seminar about the concept of digital economy, digital transformation and the architecture of digital economy as well as the effect of digitization on the country's economic growth rate. In addition, the importance of digitalization of energy industry, and in particular the electricity industry was emphasized in terms of its prominent role in the economy of the countries.
Accordingly, about the macro-level data and related analysis as well as the essential role of modern telecommunication infrastructure of electricity industry, as the main accelerator and infrastructure factors for electricity industry digitalization, was pointed out.
At the end, Monenco Iran’s proposals regarding the digitalization of electricity industry were presented for regional electric companies and other companies active in the electricity industry.
