Monenco Iran has recently signed a contract of “Supervisory Services for Preventive Maintenance and Repairs (PM) Posts, lines and cables for distribution and transmission under the supervision of Alborz Power Transmission”. The main client is Tehran Regional Electric Company (TREC).

Severe storms, heavy snow and heavy rain in recent years due to climatic changes in the northern regions of Iran have caused a significant increase in the number and period of electricity shutdown in the forests and agricultural lands. Due to the types of the soil and trees in these areas, during the storm and snow, there are numerous reports from the public and operators regarding the shutdown and failure of the network which directly or indirectly has a bad effect on the environment. Therefore, Mazandaran Electricity Distribution Company has come to this end to reduce the impacts of these climate changes by defining related projects. Also in respect of financing the projects, it was decided to use the Green Climate Fund Facility.
