Signing the Contract of “Studies on the Passive Defense of the Steam Portion of Bampour Combined Cycle Power Plant (Iranshahr)”

 Monenco Iran has recently signed a contract of “Studies on the Passive Defense of the Steam Portion of Bampour Combined Cycle Power Plant (Iranshahr). The client is Thermal Power Plant Holding.

Passive defense refers to a set of actions that either prevent the possible attacks or reduce the damages in case of attacks, without using weapons. Passive defense techniques and methods that are fundamentally based on the philosophy of effective defense requires modern technologies and specific capabilities of the offensive weapons as well as materials and methods to deal with them in an up-to-date manner. The main goals of the passive defense are focused on protecting human resources and facilities of the country.  Accordingly, implementing passive defense in power plants and electricity distribution systems are necessary to increase deterrence, reduce vulnerability, promote national sustainability and sustain human activities.
