Monenco Iran recently signed a contract of "Preparation of instructions for grid interconnection of photovoltaic (PV) power plants". The client is Yazd Regional Electric Co.
Due to expansion of photovoltaic systems in power system new uncertainties are being introduced to decision making in power system’s operation. Also, increment in penetration of such systems give rise to new harmonic sources, voltage fluctuations in the connection point, reverse power flow in the network and resultant reviews on protection schemes, DC current injection through inverter-based systems, and phase unbalance in the system. Therefore, there is a need for comprehensive instructions for large-scale integration of photovoltaic plants into the power grid.
