Details:
The transmission grid under the control of Tehran Regional Electric Company (TREC) is widely spread. Moreover, it has a critical situation in Tehran and Qom from social, political, economical, and cultural point of view; therefore, intentional or not-intentional load shedding will cause serious problems which arouse the emerging need for a comprehensive study on preparing a master plan for Tehran regional grid.
The outcome of this project is the transmission system expansion plan with aim of increasing the reliability of the system and its operational conditions. In addition, the characteristics and the time of need for enhancing the system (including installation of new power plants, transmission lines, and substations) are determined with the purpose of maintaining the adequacy of system in a least-cost manner.
