Details:
CCHP Power plants are installed to provide electricity and at the same time the thermal energy needed for heating or cooling systems used in industrial-production units thru generation of high pressure steam.
That is why CCHP power plants have a higher total efficiency (heat and power) ,and consequently lower cost and higher revenue for investors. In addition to these advantages, there is a new opportunity as distributed generators to be connected to national grid and sell its excess production . By this means, the industrial units could run their plants in full capacity and exchange the generated power with the network. When there is a surplus in production (selling) or when there is shortage, import from network. By establishment of electricity exchange stock, in future, there will be the chance for distributed producers to sell their surplus production to the highest offer in the market.
"Iran LNG" company is installing a power plant in its production unit which is located between Assaluye and Kangan. This plant will be CCHP type and the produced electricity will be used in its chiller compressors and other section of process plant .The high pressure steam generated in HRSGs will be consumed in process units as well as steam turbines for production of electrical energy.
