Details:
Dadin Kowa which is located in 35 kilometers from city of Gombe is one of the most important regions of Nigeria. This place not only is located beside a highway but also is near to a multi-purpose dam. Nigeria government constructed the Dadin Kowa dam on Numan River in 1984 to provide water and electricity to the region especially to the Gongola sugar plant. Dadin Kowa, as the second largest dam of Nigeria after Kainji dam, is expected to provide water to about 6200 acres of farm lands; Besides, Gombe state has lots of touristic landscapes which show the potential of the region for development.
Nigeria federal ministry of power is pursuing to install a small and medium scale hydroelectric power plant in this area. Thereby the feasibility and financial studies, the engineering design and contract documents preparation of this project is awarded to Monenco Iran.
